      He was a Camp of Spanish Veterans member in Kent, King, WA. He serv ed in the military in the Spanish American War, 1897. He also served in W WI, 1917. He retired from the military in Palo Alto, Santa Clara, CA, 192 6. After WWI, he went to Mexico under the command of General Pershi ng in an unsuccessful effect to capture Pancho Villa. He rounded out h is military career as Assistant Professor of Military Service at Stanfo rd University in Palo Alto.
