According to the 1992 Pelton Book, Louis was bo rn in Holmesville, Chenango, NY rather than Belfast, Allegany, NY as we re his siblings. Reportedly Louis had a cousin who was a physician buri ed in Wellsville, NY who never married. According to the story, the doct or once sneezed in shurch and his false teeth flew into the pulpit.
