      He was a Letter carrier in Sidney, Delaware, NY. Jay served in the milita ry in World War I. Occupied as a letter carrier for the postal service be fore retiring. Member of the United Methodist Church of Sidney, NY. W as also a 55 year member of the Monticello Lodge Number 532, R and A.M. a nd the Charles L. Jacobi American Legion Post Number 183 in Sidney. He w as a military veteran of World War I. He was doing an update of the 18 92 genealogy book when he died and his son has the records.
