      He was a Mason? he served in the military in Redbone, WI, 1861. He enlis ted in Company F of 2nd Wisconsin Cavalry and was sent to Redbone on medic al furlough for lung disease after which he was discharged disabled. Rega ined health and re-enlisted in the military in 1864.
      He resided in Mauston, WI 1891. Jason lived across town and would walk do wntown across a railroad track. His wife was afraid he would get hit so s he would watch him cross the tracks. One time he saw her watching and bec ame annoyed and returned home.
