      The marriage to John Allan was presided by Rev. George Reid. Witness es at the wedding were James Srewart, the Laird of Brugh, and Mr. Nocho l, Officer of the Fishery. No doubt it was John who built the big white ho use end-on to the sea at Broughton. Here they lived had their children a nd died.
