Alma's daughter, Veletta, said that Alma was to have been named Lois Virgi nia, but at the last minute they decided on Alma. Alma was a commercial s eamstress and baker. She had a licensed bakery in her home and bak ed in a tent oven on a 2 burner gast stove. Alma had custom-made angel ca ke pans and she made the most beautiful wedding cakes in town. She was al so famous for her beautifully decorated Christmas cookies. Eventually h er baking talent won her an electric stove.
