    J.M. Pelton listed this individual as Mrs. Mary VALENTINE Wentz, indicati ng she was widowed from a Mr. Wentz with a maiden name of Valentine. Char les Pelton lists her with the maiden name of Wentz, no mention of Valentin e. In fact, J.M. Pelton even listed Mary as the daughter of Richard Valen tine, therefore putting further weight to the validity of this information .

    Ithamar was a fine mechanic and famous builder of his time. It is said th at me may have built 13 churches, including the Congregational church of E ssex, CT. He and his brother, Nathan, served in the "French War" under Ge n. Amherst. He may have also served in the war of the revolution as he w as at the burning of New London, CT.
