    He was in the Revolutionary War. "He served in the Revolutionary Army a nd by reason of the great hardships endured in the war he became insan e. He used to wander from his northern home back to the old home in C T. This continued for seventeen years until he died at the home of a cous in in Portland, CT. In consequence of this sad state of affairs his fami ly of seven children widely scattered."
