Maggie's children spoke lovingly of her. Some said she worked herse lf to death doing for others. From her obituary: " Mrs. Berto is fondly r emembered by the many who knew her in her old home community. She was a d evoted wife and a kind mother. She was of a cheerful optimistic dispositi on, ever ready to be of assistance to her friends and neighbors, and one w ho sincerely endeavored to do her full part in her community life."
