Emily and Ira were supposedly cuosins, as stated in a letter form on Kath ie H. in Independence MI who was a granddaughter. Katie also said sever al generations of Pelton's carried on a pump business as well as farming-- practially every pump around Innerskip, Canada for many years was a Pelt on pump.
