Westray Census

I have transcribed the Westray census's from 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911 and 1921 and put them into a MySQL Database. This is a work in progress. Most of the data is there but I need to work on various ways of extracting the data. Please do not construe this data to be all-inclusive but as a guide to further research.

Due to the various layouts of the different census's some fields are filled in while in other years they are empty. Eg. In 1841 census the Place of Birth contains only a choice of 3 letters C for Census County, S for Scotland and F for Foreign.

You may search on First and/or Last names but you must put in a Last name. You can search using the exact spelling, part of the name, or a Soundex of the name. You can not use wild cards.

When you get the results of your search on the next page you can click on the household number on the far right and see who else was living in the house at the time of the census.
